Since 2022, in response to the growing number of cyberattacks, Normandy has been working on a collective and proactive cybersecurity strategy. Three key initiatives embody this momentum: Normandy Cyber (a cyber incident response centre), Normandy Campus Cyber, and the national service MonAideCyber, accessible to everyone.
Normandy Cyber: A Local and Expert Emergency Response
Launched in 2022 and led by AD Normandie in partnership with ANSSI (the French national information systems security agency), Normandy Cyber supports SMEs, medium-sized businesses, and local authorities dealing with digital incidents. The initiative draws on local expertise and offers:
• Rapid response in the event of a cyberattack;
• Technical support to identify vulnerabilities and restore systems;
• Awareness and training to build lasting organisational resilience.
Normandy Cyber: An Effective Emergency Response
• Rapid response: Immediate, local support;
• Targeted expertise: Professionals familiar with the Normandy ecosystem;
• Comprehensive approach: From crisis management to prevention and training.
Normandy Campus Cyber: A Pillar of the Normandy Cyber Strategy
A key player in the Normandy Cyber 2024 strategy, the Normandy Campus Cyber, certified by the national network of regional Cyber Campuses, brings together academic, economic, institutional, and local stakeholders dealing with cybersecurity.
It supports businesses, local governments, and the public by offering a range of services: awareness programmes, joint initiatives, skills development to inspire careers in cyber, research, and more.
This initiative addresses two main goals:
• Strengthening Normandy’s digital resilience and sovereignty;
• Turning cyber threats into economic opportunities by growing the regional cybersecurity sector.
The campus and its services are managed by a third-sector stakeholder that brings together all of Normandy’s cybersecurity ecosystem. It drives strong regional momentum, positioning Normandy as a trusted digital region.
MonAideCyber: Free Diagnostics to Kick-Start Your Cyber Protection
The MonAideCyber (MyCyberHelp) service offers any organisation a free cybersecurity assessment, carried out with the help of a trusted advisor. This assessment identifies vulnerabilities, evaluates risks, and provides initial security recommendations. Since January 2024, over 120 diagnostics have been completed nationwide, a number that continues to grow. In Normandy, this support network has been strengthened through the training of 70 gendarmes, now qualified to assist and contribute to building a true digital solidarity network.
By combining local expertise, digital solidarity, and swift action, Normandy is highlighting its ambition to become a model region for cybersecurity, at the service of all its stakeholders.
