- Drug delivery: Ethypharm – a research laboratory specialised in the production of pharmaceutical products, pain relief medicines, cardiovascular conditions, dependency and intensive care;
- Biomedicines: Sanofi Pasteur – the vaccines division of Sanofi, this is the largest business in the world entirely dedicated to human vaccines, with a mission to protect people against infectious diseases through safe and efficient vaccines.
A high-performing oncology ecosystem: The North-West Cancer Network brings together around 30 research training facilities, working on cancer treatments in partnership with 26 clinical services and 18 hospitals:

- Recognised biomedical research platforms (CYCERON, PRIMACEN, PISSARO…);
- 2 University teaching hospitals (Rouen and Caen);

A strong academic R&D network in Normandy:
- The research federation of the Institut Normand de Chimie Moléculaire, Médicinale et Macromoléculaire (INC3M) comes under the umbrella of the three universities (Caen, Le Havre, Rouen) and two higher education institutions (INSA Rouen and ENSICAEN). INC3M brings together 205 permanent staff and 141 teaching-researchers from different research units in molecular, medical and macromolecular chemistry.
